August – Helen Bedford

Please meet our August member of the month.. Helen Bedford. Helen was nominated by a numerous of instructors as she not only does 2 pole courses, but she also does an aerial course!

Helen started a pole course back in January 2014. She was looking for a new hobby and a new way to keep fit. Helen found gyms boring and heard that pole fitness was great for strength and fitness.

We asked Helen if she has seen any difference in her body or strength and she had this to say, “I’ve noticed a huge improvement to my arms and overall strength. It’s amazing to think back to how rubbish I was when I first started compared to what I can do now! To anyone who’s thinking of trying it, I say just go for it! You might feel silly or self conscious when you first start but it’s ok, everyone else does too! Plus the people at Pole 4 Fitness are just the best!”

Helen has 2 instructors, Clare and Penny, and she said that they have been hugely inspirational, supportive and lots of fun.

Penny and Clare said this about Helen..”My little Cheshire Cat Helen is the most tenacious pole dancer I know!! Everyone comments on how good she is, and she is a shining example of how hard work pays off!! Helen really puts in the hours at practice and stretch and she truly deserves the results she is achieving: she’s strong enough to pull off any pole trick I throw at her, she’s brilliant at combining tricks and her flexibility is increasing in leaps and bounds. In class she never stops and she tackles everything with determination and enthusiasm. She is a pleasure to teach and to be in class with, always cheering on her classmates and applauding their successes. She’s a little treasure and I’m very lucky to teach her.”
