June 2013 – Kelly Robinson

I was bored and fed up.

I was wanting to find something different that would help me lose weight, tone up and meet new people. So with nothing to lose and phone in hand, I put my name down for a taster class. Insecurities, doubts and nerves almost got the better of me and I nearly didn’t turn up. But here I am 15 months later…..and I’m hooked!

kellySucceeding in my aim, I’m losing weight, toning up and more importantly I’ve met some amazing ladies and made some lovely friends.

My pole journey so far has not been without its ups and downs. There have been times when I’ve had wobbles and wanted to give up. Pole doesn’t come easy to me and I have to fight, practice and persevere for every new trick and spin that comes my way. But, with bundles of encouragement from Emma and the ladies in my group, I’ve been taught to believe in myself, think positive and just go for it!

Emma, especially has shown great faith in me and help my confidence soar. Her classes are full of laughs and energy. She ensures we work hard, put in 100% effort and point our toes! She is a true inspiration.

A special mention has to go to Julie Robinson and Jo-Ann Weaver. A big thank you to you both for keeping me motivated, pushing my limits and giving me a beasting every Thursday!

Through bruises, sweat and tears I shall continue my pole journey with a new found confidence, determination and with a little help from my friends.

Cos if I can do it, anyone can!

Emma said “Kelly has hit the nail on the head with this statement sometimes she has nearly been beat by pole and the next week she is right back trying again! A real inspiration to anyone who thinks they could never pole dance. Well done Kelly”
