What is Aerial Hoop?
Aerial hoop, also known as lyra, is a circular steel apparatus suspended in the air, used for acrobatic and artistic performances. It is a popular discipline in aerial arts and fitness, combining strength, flexibility, and creativity.
Features of Aerial Hoop
The Hoop:
Made of steel, the hoop is usually taped for grip.
It can be rigged to spin or stay static, depending on the style of performance or practice.
They are available in different diameters to suit the performer's height and needs. Our smallest hoop is 80cm, and the largest is 100cm.
To find your size, measure your seated height in centimetres, then add 10–15 cm to determine the hoop’s internal diameter.
71 -76 cm: Suitable for children or very petite adults.
79–84 cm: Common size for smaller individuals.
86–91 cm: Ideal for most average-sized adults.
94–99 cm: Best for taller individuals or those who prefer more space inside the hoop.
The Moves:
Mounts and Dismounts: Techniques to get on and off the hoop gracefully.
Poses: Static positions like splits, straddles, or elegant balances within or around the hoop.
Spins: Performing graceful movements while the hoop rotates.
Rolls and Drops: Dynamic transitions for more advanced practitioners.

Open to all fitness levels, with beginner classes focusing on basic mounts, poses, and safety.
We offer classes for kids from age 10 upwards
Aerial hoop offers a fun and challenging way to build fitness while exploring artistic expression.
This class is unsuitable for people who are not fit and healthy enough to attend a general fitness class.
